Breakenback Films has a new project in the works, titled “Turbines” this new Horror-Thriller genre film will explore the true questions and stories surrounding green energy, multiculturalism, and immigration policies. Igor’s Birthday

“Sick” With the Van Vuuren Bros

For the last 3 weeks we have been working with the Van Vuuren brothers, Connor and Christian (The Fully Sick Rapper) on the production of their brand new pilot for MTV “Sick”. It has been an amazing time with an increadibly talented production team, cast and crew, including some of the best stunties in the country. “Sick” is an inspiring project that has come about thanks to Christian and Connor winning the 2011 Optus ONE80PROJECT, granting them $180,000 to make this pilot, you can check out their winning entry, the trailer for the pilot, right here.

Sydney Supanova 2011

Well boys and girls, Supanova is back in Sydney for 2011 and the Breakenback team will be there with some special guests! Not only do we have a few of the up and coming film makers that we’ve been working with recently on projects like Lesbian Western, but we have some of our friends from Clear Vision Films coming up from Canberra with a few of the star’s from their most recent feature film “Untamed Kittens”. Come on down to The Dome, Sydney Showground Rd, Sydney Olympic Park from 10am to 6pm, June 18th and 19th.

International Film School Sydney

This year Breakenback Films have been doing a lot of work with the next generation of film maker in Australia, we have signed up to choreograph and perform stunts for the major projects of two students in their final years at the International Film School Sydney. Both projects are currently in pre-production and rehearsals have begun, and both projects are still trying to raise enough funds to provide you with the best possible quality action so if you have some spare dollars and want to do your bit to support Australian Independent Cinema check out the websites below and some of the awesome bonus content on offer from the directors of these films.

Brisbane Supanova

A big thanks to all the fans who came and found our stall at the Brisbane Supanova Expo to say hi and purchase some of our films and merchandise. A very special thanks to those that came back after buying one of our films last year and bought the rest, it is support from people like you that lets us continue to push the bounds of independent cinema in Australia and keep producing the content you love to see and we love to make!

We also took the chance to get a couple of snap shots with the Supanova Supastars who came by the stall and even purchased some of our merchandise for themselves, thank you to action legend Richard Norton (The Octagon, Mr Nice Guy, Rage and Honour) and Peter Williams (Apophis from Stargate SG-1), make sure you come and catch us at the Melbourne Supanova next week and you never know who you might run into!
